Learning to code requires consistency, persistence and self-discipline. It has been a difficult journey but I have never done something so rewarding. At this point, I feel I can build multi-page websites with my HTML, CSS and other Programming languages.

Moving forward, I see myself matured as a skilful developer that continues to grow and learn as I understand that this is a fast growing and changing industry.

I am proud to be a developer because I am always inspired to be a better me today than I was yesterday. I love to code simply because I have found myself. Software and web development is a good example of why I will always continue to learn, grow and never stop progressing myself.

Moji Gazzetter

moji Gazzetter project

A map-based app to provide information on countries – with a focus on a “mobile first” development. Developed by HTML, CSS and JavaScript with JQuery modules that use PHP server-based components to source data from third party APIs (Geonames, OpenWeather). The solution is assessed on its delivery to specification, functionality, and usability.

Showing an understanding of CRUD. A user requirements document which triggers the release of SQL allowing to develop the application that maintains a company personnel database (MySQL).

Booki

Booki project

UI/UX focused project.

A small company which offers a holiday planning tool.

Integrate web content - Dealing with the embedding of the design mock-ups as HTML/CSS mock-ups which showcase the understanding of using Flexbox, Block and Inline-block elements.

Implement a cross platform responsive layout for desktop, tablet and mobile which embed the desktop-first website.

OhMyFood

Booki project

UI/UX focused project.

Ohmyfood is an online food ordering company.

Showcase BEM naming where a section containing the four menus in the form of cards. When clicking on the card, the user is redirected to the menu page.

Showcase of using CSS animations and transitions, no JavaScript, or library.

Mobile-first cross platform website including tablet and desktop.

I have created this project by using just frameworks.

"I personally think this is cheating as I believe knowing the core basics of HTML and CSS is essential but I see the benefit is of using frameworks and bootstrap. I am amazed at how fast and easy it is to create the webpage with frameworks."
